| Abstract | A analise de fotografias aereas e imagens orbitais LANDSAT da regiao do Alto Xingu, no Estado do Mato Grosso, revelou a existencia de areas ocupadas por uma vegetacao que apresentava um comportamento espectral diferente do apresentado pela vegetacao circunvizinha. Algumas dessas areas foram estudadas atraves de imagens multitemporais LANDSAT e fotografias aereas infravermelhas. Os resultados desses estudos foram comparados com informacoes de campo, para o estabelecimento de hipoteses sobres as possiveis causas dessa diferenca. | |||
